About Me

I was born in 1945 and grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin with 5 brothers and two sisters.  I've graduated from the University of Wisconsin and Michigan State University.

I've worked in the chemical and petroleum industry from 1968 until the present.  In that time I've gone from politically conservative to democratic socialist.  For the record the United States has many great socialistic programs: Interstate Highways, National Parks, National Forests, National Monuments, CDC, EPA, FDIC, FEMA, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Farm subsidies, Food Stamps, University Research; and one which is closest to Communism in that the government also controls the means of production - The Military.  Plus many more.  THE ARGUMENT OF SOCIALISM VS CAPITALISM IS BOGUS.  We need to be informed and make smart decisions on what works best for all of us.  Forget the labels!  Just spend some time investigating what's going on and use common sense.

I believe that the three main "sins" that are harming our democracy are Greed, Hatred or Prejudice, and Ignorance.  We can do much better as a country that cares for it's people and wants to make everyone productive and successful.

As a visitor here, you are part of a community interested in making America (and the world) a better place to live for the present and future generations.  We welcome courteous and thoughtful ideas.  We should give everyone respect for their opinions.  We're all in this together!

I have created  documents and a tax calculation Excel Workbook (3 spreadsheets) to turn greed into goodness for all.  The tax calculation will financially penalize the rich and powerful (as a group) due to the effects of their harmful decisions and reward them for decisions that help all of us.
